Class awards night

WFDA believes that no two learners are alike, and we place great importance on creating opportunities for students to learn in a variety of ways. To achieve this, our Classes aim to provide the tools and strategies to enable students to help themselves to develop into independent lifelong learners. To be a successful student you need to not let adversity get in the way of your goals. If you fail a test or don’t understand something you try harder next time. All our students have shown this dedication every time they come to our Classes on a Monday evening.

That is why WFDA is proud to celebrate all their achievements and congratulate them on how far they have come at our annual Award Ceremony. This year it was attended by over 70 students, parents, tutors, volunteers and trustees. Cllr. Robbins, Mayor of Waltham Forest, after having spoken very highly of the charity and the work it does with young people, presented each student with a Certificate and a £15 Amazon voucher which had been generously donated by the Council.

An amazing BBQ was provided by John McMenemy who is a parent of children attending the classes and a WFDA Trustee. For entertainment the students thoroughly enjoyed playing on the bouncy castle, bucking Broncho and sumo wrestling outfits! A fun night was had by all!
